Join the Ski Club of Victoria (SCV) and the Mt Buller community in celebrating the 100th anniversary of skiing on Mt Buller.
Prepare to be awed by an incredible spectacle as Bourke Street is illuminated with a torch-lit descent and fireworks display to mark this momentous occasion. The torch-lit descent will be staged during the Twilight Session on Bourke Street (5 - 8.30pm).
Come twilight skiing and boarding on the night to celebrate the occasion, with public skiing and snowboarding paused briefly as the ceremonial torch bearers descend the Bourke Street run.
5.00pm – Twilight skiing & boarding on Bourke St starts!
6:20pm – Lights dim for the 100 torches descent
6:30pm – Skiing under lights continues ‘til 9pm!
The first turns on skis were made on the mountain back on 6 July 1924 by a small group from the newly formed SCV. The torch-lit parade honours this important anniversary for the Ski Club of Victoria and celebrates the joy skiing has given the entire Mt Buller community for a century.
